Dunn County Interfaith Volunteers, Inc is a non-profit umbrella organization that manages three vital community programs: Interfaith Food Pantry, and the House of Hope, and the Interfaith Caregivers. All programs are housed at the above address. Services are free.

The Food Pantry provides food and personal necessities to families and individuals living on a limited income. Government commodities are also distributed monthly to those who qualify. Recipients need to register to determine eligibility.

House of Hope provides temporary shelter to homeless individuals of Dunn County up to thirty days. Transient persons may stay for up to seven days. Priority is given to families with children. The house contains two furnished apartments, one of which is handicap accessible. During their stay, the House Coordinator works with the residents providing information and referrals to secure stable housing and maintain economic self-sufficiency.

Interfaith Caregivers volunteers provide supportive services to the disabled, isolated, frail and elderly of Dunn County to improve the quality of life. Volunteers assist with the following services: light housekeeping, respite and telephone reassurance, meal preparation and shopping, small fix-it jobs, companionship and transportation, yard work and snow shoveling.

Child Protective Services Intake (CPS)

Provides staff coverage for telephone and walk-in child abuse and neglect referrals received during work hours. An after hours system is offered with Juvenile Court Intake to enable referrals 24 hours a day.
Child Protect Services Ongoing (CPS)
Supported services are provided for the change process to families who present a safety risk to their children. CPS intervention strategy is to provide safety and treatment services that allow children to remain safety in their home.
Youth Services Unit
Supervises and provides services to juveniles who have violated criminal law, have runaway, are truant, or are in violation of other civil laws.
Intensive Supervision Program (ISP)
Deals with judicated juvenile delinquents. Provides monitoring and global system tracking with juveniles as an alternative to out of home placement.
Alternate Care Unit
Recruits, trains, licenses and manages foster homes and provides payment for kinship, respite or treatment foster care, group, and residential care placements for youth who can not manage safely in their home environment.
Coordinated Services Team (CST Initiative)
Serves children with mental health issues and their families. Work with families, community to help maintain children in their family home.

The Birth to 3 program provides specialized services to children with special needs from birth to three years old. The program helps to identify delays in children’s growth and development process, and intervenes to overcome difficulties that might hinder future learning. Services may include developmental screenings, therapies, family support, parent education, transportation, and referral to other agencies and resources.

Family Support Program is offered to families who are caring for a severely disabled child at home. Services include referral to community resources, linking families with other families, strengthening natural supports, and limited funding to purchase goods and services. The child must have severe physical, mental, or emotional disabilities and be younger than 21 living at home. Family income is not a basis for eligibility, but cost sharing may be required on a sliding fee scale.
Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) Waivers
State provides 3 new waiver programs to meet the needs of children disabled in the following areas: developmental disabilities, mental health, and physical disabilities.

Serves children with serious emotional disturbances and their families. Work to maintain children in their natural family setting.

Intake Services
Takes incoming calls to the Adult Services Unit. The team may schedule assessments to determine the level of services needed. They determine what program is best suited for each consumer. They manage a small low profile caseload.
Developmental Disability Services
Provides services to consumers that meet the federal definition of a severe mental or physical impairment. Creates individual service plans, which may include residential, vocational, guardianship or home care services. Services are offered in accordance with the Community Integration Program standards as to help individual’s function at an optimal level in the community.
Long Term Support
Serves adults with physical disabilities and individuals considered being frail elderly. Service plan is created for each consumer to address the existing barriers of keeping the individual in the community. Services offered: personal care, adaptive aids, residential placements, adult day care, and supportive home care.
Intensive Case management
Serves seriously mentally ill consumers with some functional impairment. Team works to help the consumers remain connected with the community. Help with; employment, transportation, and housing.
