The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Program & Services: Helpline-A confidential, toll-free telephone line that offers information and emotional support to callers regarding Alzheimer's disease and related dementias; Family Consultation-Your local chapter representative is available to meet with your family to facilitate the planning and answering questions of your family; Education-A variety of educational opportunities are available for persons affected by dementia. These include: health fairs, conferences, workshops, and specially designed training programs; Advocacy-The Greater Wisconsin Chapter, along with community volunteers, is active in advocating for the needs and rights of persons with dementia; Lending Library-Books, pamphlets, and audio-video tapes are available to professional and family caregivers; Public Awareness-Regional offices sponsor Memory Walks, golf outings, and other special events aimed at raising awareness and dollars for local programs and services for individuals with dementia; Diagnostic Information-The importance of early diagnosis is especially important when dealing with dementia. Your local chapter representative can guide you through the necessary steps to getting a medical assessment, diagnosis, and support; Safety Issues-The Alzheimer's Association offers information and programs to help keep your loved one safe; Support Groups-Support groups meet regularly to reinforce and empower caregivers that have similar experiences.

Interfaith Caregivers volunteers provide supportive services to the disabled, isolated, frail and elderly of Dunn County to improve the quality of life. Volunteers assist with the following services: light housekeeping, respite and telephone reassurance, meal preparation and shopping, small fix-it jobs, companionship and transportation, yard work and snow shoveling.

The Eau Claire County Department on Aging & Resource Center is the policy, planning, and community organizing focal point for activities related to the elderly in Eau Claire County. The Department seeks to identify and represent the views, interests, and concerns of older people and inform the public and other agencies of these identified needs and concerns. The Department informs the older person of benefits and services available and endeavors to seek out individuals and other agencies to assist in providing these services.
